We would like to wish one of our Accountants Lorraine Montgomery a Happy Anniversary! On the 10th February, Lorraine celebrated being with our firm for 31 years.
Lorraine joined the Walsh & Walsh Chartered Accountants team in February 1983 and been part of the firms growth from 7 staff to a team of 30. As Walsh Accountants grew, Lorraine has taken on every challenge with open mindedness, determination, and a level of positivity that is as awesome as it is inspiring.
Lorraine is such a valuable member of our team. Not only does she have a wealth of professional knowledge and experience she is readily willing to share with her peers, she has faced many personal difficulties through her time with our firm. Experiences that would break many, she has worked through them and somehow manages to find a positive or piece of value for herself and grows stronger through each experience. She is always willing to share her experiences with others and often becomes a source of support and strength for those facing their own adversity.
Lorraine wanted to share some heartfelt words in comment to her amazing milestone:
” During my employment the team has always had an amazing culture of support for me, particularly in times where I have experienced person difficulties. The support I have received over my 30 years of service is reflected in my loyalty and work ethic as an employee.
As I am now in my 70’s, the Walsh team has encouraged me to continue working with them until I am ready to retire. They have allowed me to work part time but also still provide the support and training that I need to continue working in my role.
To see how new staff members have joined this firm over the years, and are still here today, because of the culture that has been nurtured over the years, is a testament of the type of employers Walsh are. Working at Walsh is not “just a job” it is a place I look forward to coming to”
It is undeniable that everyone who is fortunate enough to have this powerhouse of a woman in their lives is greater for it. We at Walsh Accountants count our blessings every day that Lorraine chose our firm and continues to choose to stay with us until the time where she is ready to put the pen and paper down and step away from the office. Until then, we will continue to enjoy having her with us and celebrate her and her ongoing contribution to our firm each and every day.
