The Gold Coast Women in Business Awards were held on Friday 27 November at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
These Awards are a very powerful platform that celebrate the achievements of women and female leaders across the Gold Coast region. Being an award category sponsor for the past five years, we at Walsh Accountants hope that by supporting the awards we can in some way be part of that journey and give women business owners on the Coast the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Firstly, we would like to congratulate all of the 2020 Award Winners and the Awardees of Merit. In particular we would like to congratulate Sharyn Watson, owner of Watmar Electrical Contractors, who won the Gold Coast Woman in Business of the Year Award 2020.
Our very own inspirational Director, Donna Bruce described the event, saying “the supportive environment of the awards creates such a fantastic springboard for the women involved, and the connections and relationships they form will stay with them for many years.”
“It is so inspiring hearing the stories of these amazing business women and what they have achieved. I am exciting to be a part of their journey going forward.”
We look forward to meeting more inspirational women as we support these awards for many years to come.
Since 2016 we have nominated multiple women for these awards – including our very own Rachael Keuning who won The Futurist award in 2017. This year, we proudly nominated one of our incredible clients, Amy Degenhart, Director of Degenhart Shedd Architecture and Urban Design, who was successfully announced a finalist in the Innovation and Technology category.
If you would like to learn more about these awards, please do not hesitate to contact Donna Bruce to discuss.
